Why Do Search Engines Encourage Ethical SEO?

It is a common perception in SEO that online business owners have to battle and manipulate the search engines in order to get their websites ranked highly. This is not true.

The search engines encourage the use of white hat SEO techniques and businesses running ethical SEO campaigns are more likely to achieve the top positions in the search results. There is one significant reason why search engines encourage ethical SEO.

The search engines are providing a service. Searchers visit their websites when looking for something and the search engines must provide them with useful and relevant results. If the results they deliver are not of a high quality, searchers will not return to the search engine in the future and eventually the search engine will fail. The quality of the search results provided is of vital importance.

The search engines want to provide the best search results possible and ethical SEO methods make businesses better for their customers and therefore better for the search results.

Businesses running an ethical SEO campaign will have fresh and relevant content clearly displayed within their web pages. This means visitors to their site will be able access important details quickly and easily and this is of great significance. Searchers will skim a web page to find relevant information and if not seen, will decide a website is useless and will go elsewhere.

Those using white hat SEO will also provide visitors with a website which can be explored easily. Internal links, contents tables and other linking techniques will be used within sites to help visitors find relevant pages of information to help them with their search. If a searcher cannot find information suitable to their needs within a site, they will once again leave the site quite quickly.

Companies using ethical SEO methods will also have a developed brand within the online community. A large number of internet users like to explore the reputation and history of a business before becoming a customer.

When using white hat SEO, business owners use many different ways to interact with their target audience, get their business noticed and get others talking about their company. This means a great deal of information will be available online about the company and this can be useful for informing and reassuring potential customers.

Ethical SEO helps businesses to provide their visitors and customers with a better service and if a search engine recommends websites like this, it reflects positively on them.

Do follow Link Building.

Commenting on DoFollow Blogs can be a great way to generate free backlinks to your site. For those who don't know what DoFollow means, its basically a piece of coding that tells Google whether to value a backlink or not. For that reason, it is important to obtain links with the DoFollow code rather than NoFollow because these are the kind of backlinks that will have a positive effect on your search engine optimization.

Many use this blog commenting method as a form of web promotion but few actually understand some of the key concepts which actually make this process effective. For that reason I thought I would clear up a few points and hope many will utilize this method in the correct way in future efforts of search engine marketing.

The first point and by far the most important is making sure the blog is "DoFollow" otherwise you will be wasting your time. There are a few ways to do this, either use the tool known as "SEO for FireFox" (top search result on Google for those words so just copy and paste) which will tell you straight away whether a site uses that piece of code or not. Secondly you can select "view" on your web browser and then "page source" and then this will show you the HTML of the page. Do a browser search for the words "dofollow", if they are found you are in luck!

Secondly, you must be tactful to the site owner. Unless you leave a 3/4 sentence positive comment on their post that's RELEVANT, it will be a waste of time as the chances are it wont be published. Be responsive to their post and you will have a far greater chance.

Thirdly, try to subtly embed a few of your keywords in the comment as any backlink surrounded in content relevant key words will have a far greater effect on SEO. Don't do this really obviously otherwise the site owner will see your game and once again not publish your comment as a result.

Finally, no more than 20 a day. Google has some very advance spam bots and will literally blacklist you if it sees you spamming your link on millions of blog comments. Build your backlinks slowly and respectfully and Google will thank you for it! Thank you for reading my article on DoFollow Blog commenting, I hope you will find use in this and have a much more productive backlink generating session as a result!

On-Page SEO- Keep in mind

In the ever-changing world of search engine optimization (or SEO), there are two aspects to keep in mind. One is off-page SEO, or also known as linking. While it is the more important part to SEO, it's not what we're going to focus on today. Instead, we need to shift our attention to on-page SEO, which, while not as effective as its counterpart, is very easy to implement. By executing an effective on-page SEO strategy, one could easily climb the ranks of Google without a single link. But sadly, many people today ignore on-page SEO, and so they miss out on some great search engine love.
Yet, this is a good thing. If you were to implement an effective on-page SEO strategy, then you can fly straight ahead of your competitors who choose not to optimize their on-page SEO. And all of this depends heavily on one thing -- your tags. In the HTML of your site, whether you know it or not, you can place specific SEO tags that allow search engines to correctly categorize and rank your website. What you place in these tags is very important. But for now, we are going to concentrate on the five most important ones. Starting with...

1. Title -- The title tag is easily the most important to search engines. This is what they use to determine the content of your website/webpage. Also, most search engines will display your title tag on their results pages. Be sure to include your targeted keywords toward the beginning of the tag. Also, don't worry, you can add your brand name to end of the tag.
2. META Description -- The description tag is also very important in ranking your website. You'll want to make sure that your main keywords are present in this tag. But not only that, the description tag is often displayed right underneath the title tag, and is what entices a "searcher" to click onto your website. So you will want to make sure that it is readable and likeable enough for people to click on.
3. META Keywords -- While some may argue that this tag is completely useless, it's still a good idea to fill a few in. The recommended amount of keywords to place in your keyword tag is around five to seven. Make sure they are relevant and quality keywords.
4. H1 -- In HTML, there are a series of headings available for anyone to use. The H1 tag is [typically] the largest and most important, and as a result, search engines use them heavily to determine the content of the website. It is recommended that you use H1 tags, containing your keywords, whenever possible in order to structure your web content.
5. Image ALT -- When placing an image onto your website, you have the option of setting an ALT tag. Make sure you do it! Google and other search engines love to use the ALT tag to rank your images as well as your text. It's always a good idea to enter in a relevant keyword as the ALT tag in any images you use.
As long as you utilize these five SEO tags properly on your website, you'll do just fine. But just remember, on-page SEO is only one side of the coin. If you really want to rank high, then you're going to have to implement some off-page SEO as well. But as long as you take things one step at a time, you can accomplish anything.

Important of Sitemap

The importance of having a sitemap
Are you fed up of waiting for your web pages to be indexed, does Google seem to be taken ages indexing your web pages then perhaps it is about time to create and submit a sitemap.

The benefits of submitting a sitemap are:

• Sitemap are really usefull to get indexed your website. Through submitting a sitemap every time you make changes to your website and change the sitemap in accordance to the changes search engines will informed quicker through the sitemap rather than having to crawl website to realise there have been some changes made the sitemap will tell the search engines this.

• Sitemaps not only make it easier for search engines to find any new changes that have been made to a website but also make it easier for users of a website to browse and navigate their way through the website. Especially with a website which has hundreds upon hundreds of pages, it can get rather messy in a navigation bar therefore a sitemap is almost essential.

• Sitemaps can also inform search engines of the last date a page was altered, how often your website is updated (daily, weekly, and monthly).

These benefits alone should make it worth taking the time to develop a sitemap, with automated tools you can easily create a sitemap and submit it to Google webmaster tools.

This website will make it easy for you to create a sitemap, http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ this is the website that I have used previously to develop my sitemap.

After you have created a sitemap you can upload and install it on your website and then submit the sitemap to Google webmaster tools here http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/

I am really interested in hearing some of your views on sitemaps, whether you feel they are worth the work that you have to put in to them.
I see many websites when surfing the google search results that have not got a sitemap displayed on their website, and often wonder why not, it does not take that long and i believe its well worth it.

Effective way of Doing Directory Submissions

Prepare different titles, descriptions and keywords with the list of keywords you have chosen from the Keyword Research. All should be unique and looks good in visitors point of view. Go through the web and select different directories from blogs, forums and web and make list of good directories. Now create a mail id like Name@domain.com. Use This mail id while doing submissions instead of using free mail id. It helps little in getting links.

Now start doing submissions in all the directories. Keep a track of everything in a excel sheet that when you have submitted, confirmed and when the directory ownerapproved. Once you done with all submissions. Daily check the mails that from which directories you have got the links. Make a list of directories which are rejected and not approved.

For all the rejected directories go through the terms and conditions of their directories and change the title, descriptions as per their requirement and post again. For the directories which are not approved wait for 6 months from the date of submission and then submit again. If you got approval from good page rank directories then you will get increase in your page rank in the next Google page rank update.

Once your page rank increased start submitting again your site in the un approved directories. Few directories will approve only the sites which have good page rank. Now you just check search engine rankings for the list of keywords which are used in the submissions. obviously you will get your site in the search results for those keywords. This is the way of doing directory submissions in the right way.

Pros :
* Increase Page Rank
* Search Engine Rankings
* Good Traffic

Cons :
* Taking Long time for approval
* Less standard directories
* Less approvals

Points to remember:

* Use domain mail id
* Submit in the right category
* Submit in the directories which have page rank more than Zero
* Don't submit in bad directories even they have good page rank.

If you are following this process that's so good. Keep doing the same. If not change your way of doing to get good search engine results and as well as good page rank. If i am wrong please correct me. Please feel free to comment your views, questions and thoughts.

Note : I know that his article describes about very simple things regarding directory submissions, However the reason for writing this article is most of the link builders,especially freshers doing link building in an arrogant way. It results less page rank and zero search engine rankings.
